Getting Your Own Domain Name

We can now put your Merchandise Bulletin board at your own domain name, for example, http://YourDomain.com/.

Instructions:

  1. Create your Bulletin Board (if you haven't already) at http://BizBB.com. The address of your Bulletin Board will temporarily be http://BizBB.com/YourCompanyName.

  2. Post at least 5 offers to your Bulletin Board.

  3. Register your domain name with a domain name registrar. We recommend:

    123 Domains$15/year
    Domain People$20/year

BizBB receives no part of this fee. If you know of a less expensive registrar, please let us know.

When you register your domain name, you will be asked for DNS servers (or Name Servers). You should enter the following:

    Primary Name Server: NS.SITEPROTECT.COM 64.26.0.23
    Secondary Name Server: NS2.SITEPROTECT.COM 64.26.36.2

Some registrars only need the names of the Name Servers. Others also need the IP numbers.
It will probably take a few days for your new domain name to be active. You do not need to wait before completing the next step.

If your domain name is already registered, go to the web site where you registered your domain name and update your registration to the Name Servers above.

  4. On the main page of your Bulletin Board, click Edit bulletin board properties.
In the field labeled Domain Alias, enter your domain name, for example, YourDomain.com
    Click Save Changes.

  5. If your Bulletin board is not availible at your new domain name within a few days, please mail us at services@bizbb.com, and we will do our best to help.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at services@bizbb.com.
